Good morning, citizens of St. Agatha!

Man, it's been a second! I've been feeling a bit ragged lately, and wasn't sure why it was so hard to get things done. I then checked the word count, and realized St. Agatha City's code in Chapter 0: Welcome to St. Agatha City had eclipsed 95,000 words, and is now novel length. As such, I took a much needed vacation, and have been working on other aspects related to game dev, including marketing, brainstorming, and beginning the skeletal structures necessarily for Chapter 1: Zombie Lane!

I'm going to resume regular development soon, but in the meantime, let's go over what we've done in this time, and what there is to look forward to!

LUMP!!

LUMP: Women of St. Agatha City AMV ★ is out now! Trigger warnings for fake/pastel blood, bright/flashing colors, vulgar gestures, and suggestive imagery.  The song featured is Lump, by The Presidents of the United States of America, and it show cases Pixy Burrow, Ivy Kohen, Mindy Mindovitch, Tara Strange, Marjory Wight, the No Name Girl, and Daisy Korr.

Roger Roger~!

I am currently wrapping up work on a code demo for what character interactions will look like in Chapter 1, when the open world aspects of the game take more of a forefront! I'm having Roger Clinton, a reporter around town, help us out with the showcase! I will be streaming this "mini story" on the St. Agatha Discord, and then it will become available on St. Agatha City's itch.io page sometime late next week as a limited (free to play) release, for you to check out if you couldn't make the live show!

It's not super plot heavy, and is not canon, but will give you a sneak peek of both future in-game mechanics, and Roger's character.  If you feel comfortable giving feedback, please do! It would help develop and polish Chapter 1, and hasten its release.

Social Butterfly

The social media site from Chapter 0 now has a name - Social Butterfly! And it's REAL now. You can't post their, but it will update with the progress of the game, and currently features finished pages for Pixy and Denver, with the posts Pixy sees when she checks it after completing a character's route in the demo!

Other Stuff

We've got some more comic dubs in the works, featuring PJack, voice of Ian. On Monday the Discord is going to try to head down to Pony Town as on group call, and there's been talks of starting a St. Agatha bad movie club. The St. Agatha City Subreddit has recently reached 25 citizens 28 citizens, and has accrued some beautiful fan art you should check out. There's been a few people spotted in the wild streaming St. Agatha, and I'm hoping to catch a video play through of it on YpuTube at some point. If that doesn't happen organically, once Chapter 0 is complete I will be reaching out to some YouTubers to see if they re interested in filming a Let's Play.

I want to extend a special shoutout and thanks to all the people I've met through making this game. The VA's, the players, the St. Agathasona makers, streamers, and enthusiasts - you made this all possible! If you haven't had a chance to talk to other members of the community, I really recommend doing so! They are all wonderful, incredible people. There is robust fan art/fic and art trading scene here, and making St. Agathasonas - self inserts/OCs for St. Agatha City - is a highly encouraged activity, with the most popular of the bunch having even gained followings of their own right.
